In this episode we will walk you though how to create and implement an RSS feed using the Argotic RSS framework.

We will walk through generating the document, creating the feed access point and finally creating the hooks so the world knows we have a feed.

I hadn't heard about this framework, and I've used RSS.NET in the past. It looks very similar. Do you have any information about how the two frameworks compare? I don't think the open source version of RSS.NET is under active development any more, so I'm glad there is an alternative available.

The reason I used Argotic is because I also noticed that Rss.Net was not being worked on.

I cannot compare the 2, but Argotic is very easy to use and get rolling.

Looks like a nice framework. This may be a good place to tell you the "view details here" link in your feed is broken.

Argotic is a more featured framework that supports not only RSS 2.0 and its legacy formats, but also Atom, OPML, APML, BlogML and more. I continue to actively develop it, and unlike RSS.NET (which got purchased and is now sold for ~$100) Argotic is completely free. In my (biased) opinion it is the best free syndication framework available to .NET developers, and is often better than many commercial offerings.
